It’s a sad day when an arts or academic student gets into a prestige school and finds out they have to flip the bill. And in William Leathers case, the bill is about $91,000 a year to go to Julliard’s music program. Why there isn’t a scholarship available like the ones for athletics is beyond me, but it is obvious where the priorities lay.  There is a crowdfunding page set up for William Leathers and it’s making a dent in his tuition and as of right now (May 19, 2018), his first year is covered with over $97k raised! Congratulations William, you have talent and have an opportunity to turn it into greatness. What really impressed me about this young man isn’t just his musical skills, but his ability to think about others while on his own journey. In his thank you video: here, he mentions creating a scholarship for future students that will be in his similar situation in the future. That is how it’s supposed to be. Get help.. give help.
